My Story
My journey into therapy began with a love for sports and movement. From a young age, I thrived on competition, training in martial arts for nearly 20 years and eventually becoming a 2nd Dan Black Belt. But years of intense physical activity took a toll on my body, and I found myself searching for better ways to recover and heal. That search turned into a passion. I discovered I had a natural ability to detect problem areas through touch, and with encouragement from one of my karate instructors, I decided to pursue therapy professionally. I qualified in Holistic Massage in 2007, which became a turning point, shifting my focus from competition to helping others move freely and without pain.

Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise through various qualifications in pregnancy and labour massage, oncology massage, cupping, and remedial therapy. My interest in osteopathy started when I sought treatment for chronic injuries that nothing else seemed to resolve. I was fascinated by its effectiveness and wanted to understand the “magic” behind it. That curiosity led me to complete a Master’s in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy in 2024, after five years of study which included two years of clinical practice. I then continued my expertise with a postgraduate certificate in specialist paediatric osteopathy, which I completed in January 2025.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across the UK at events, festivals, and with people from all walks of life including celebrities. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt my treatments to different needs, whether working backstage at high-energy events or providing deep relaxation therapies in more intimate settings. I’ve also gained invaluable experience in specialist clinics, working with a diverse range of patients, including those in HIV care, paediatrics, mental health and community settings, and a transgender clinic. These roles deepened my understanding of how treatment can support not just physical well-being, but also emotional and mental health. My work has reinforced my belief in providing inclusive, compassionate care for everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.

At Malaya Therapies, I take a holistic, patient-centred approach, combining my background in sports, osteopathy, and massage to create treatments tailored to each person’s needs. Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to improve your movement and well-being, I’m here to help.

Outside the clinic, I like to stay active and explore the connections between Eastern and Western medicine, mindfulness, and bodywork. My mission is to help people feel free in their bodies, because movement should never be a limitation.
